Expected comments: Because you think we're evil (which was already addressed) Because you contaminate our fandom Because you don't tolerate anyone else (also already addressed) If you are going to post these comments, don't bother. You have made it evident that you are a troll.
I am a brony, and I support the fandom. However; one thing that is really hard to support is that "Love and tolerate" is selective. Most bronies don't accept us. It's like "If you're anything else, that's fine, but if you're religious, GTFO". I understand that a lot of people have represented my religion the wrong way by bashing bronies and calling us evil, but when a Christian is ONE of us and supports the fandom, why is there a problem with it?
I've honestly never seen a Christian insult a Brony before, but from what I can tell it would most likely be bias atheists and/or anti-christs who pretend to be Christians and offend the community. This act is constantly being performed everywhere to demote Christian reputation, because I know for a fact that a Christian would accept someone who enjoys an animation about animals and friendship. As for an anti-christ brony who insults Christian Bronies, it would be exactly the same as a person who isn't a Brony; it doesn't actually matter if an anti-christ's a Brony or not they will always be against Christians, Brony or not. Even though some say science is against religion (which it is not), science can be used to prove that Bronies aren't gay or bad or satanic. The term "gay" currently relates to one's love and interest for the same gender and has nothing to do with the visual enjoyment of an animal. Bad would state that the Bronies are inhumane, cruel and/or people who disobey what's right, I doubt many of us actually commit such rebellious attempts. And lastly, Bronies cannot be satanic as the show has nothing in relation to Satanism apart from its' concept of magic, it's not like we actually try to perform a levitation spell or transportation spell or worship a pony demon.
These are some logical arguments that you can use whenever any of you come across this kind of situation.
Just saying I do appreciate this.. I feel like I'm judged a lot for things that I like (being a christian, a brony, enjoying christian metal music.) Not that being judged is a huge deal to me, but I still think that its not right that so many people - including many other Christians - are so judgmental over things that they really don't know anything about..
Wow, you've got more potential to cause cognitive dissonance than I do! (I'm Evangelical.) (Do people know the difference?)
I have been very blessed to know many conservative/fundie/Bible-thumpin' Christian geeks, who love science and sci-fi and fantasy and the rest. It's not so much that I don't like the hate shown to geeks or Christians, it's that I don't understand what the problem is. (Okay, I do, stereotypes and legalism and social xenophobia and so on... but I still don't. You know?)
